Beth Ricketson as Andrea Davies

Beth started acting late in high school and immediately fell in love with it. She is a native of Southern California, growing up in Fullerton, then spending over a decade in Los Angeles, but is finally home in Portland, Or. Beth was a longtime member of The Eclectic Theatre Company in North Hollywood, where she co-adapted, produced and performed in an adaptation of Paulo Coelho's Veronika Decides to Die. In Los Angeles, Beth also performed at several other theaters including The Blank, Zombie Joe's, and A Noise Within. She is a member of Playback PDX and is honored (and having a blast) to be performing in The Diarist. A typical crunchy Oregonian, Beth loves hiking and all things nature as well as reading, sketching, and generally being arty. She works as an actor and a special educator.

The Diarist is a psychological drama exploring the alluring side of power and sexual attraction. Andrea Davies hopefully enters the paradoxical world of 1950s womanhood but she soon veers into an increasingly menacing extramarital affair with Richard Hayes, a dominant ad executive. However, the Diarist is no 50 shades of gray, more like a Hitchcock Love Story with a dose of David Lynch. The story starts innocently enough but soon turns bizarre as the inner worlds of the characters are revealed. The Diarist immerses listeners into the 1950s world of Madison Avenue advertising. Secrets are exposed, darkness descends, and for Andrea all roads appear to lead to a harrowing fate.
